NShfuB durch KnopflochfuB mitGimpenftihrung ersetzen und Lineal anschrauben (Rg. 21).
Vorm Hochstellen der Stoffdruckerstange Lineal immer durch Rechtsdrehen ausschwenken.
Oberfadenspannung stark und Unterfadenspannung schwach einstellen. Oberstichbreite auf 2-3 mm
stellen und StichlSnge mOglichst klein wShlen. Fuhrungslineaiso einstellen,dafidie Nadel die FQhrungs-
hilfe nicht streift.
Gimpenfaden ca. 5 cm durch die Bohrung im FuB ziehen und nach hinten legen, Knopflochausschneiden
und das Arbeitsstuck mit dem Knopflochauge zur
NSherin, unter den FuB legen.
Am Ende der UmnShung NShfuB anheben und Arbeitsstuck etwas nach hinten ziehen. FSden auf 4 cm
abschneiden, nach unten durch das Knopfloch ziehen und zusammendrehen. Oberstich auf ca. 4 mm
stellen und FSden Qberstechen. Arbeitsstuck um 90° drehen und Faden mit ca. 1,5 mm Oberstich ver-
riegeln.
FSden dicht am Riegel abschneiden.
Sewing eyelet-end or gimp buttonholes

Replace the presser foot by the buttonhole foot with gimpguide and screw on the edge guide (Rg. 21).
Before yourraisethe presser bar,makesure you swing the edge guide out ofactionby turning itto the
right.
Increase the needle thread tension and reduce the bobbinthread tension. Set the stitch width at 2-3 mm.
and regulatethe stitch length so that the stitches are packed closely together. Adjust the edge guide
so that the needle will not hit the guide sleeve.
Pullabt. 5 cm of gimp thread through the hole in the foot and lay ittoward the back. Cut out the button
holeand place the fabric under the foot so that the eyelet-end of the buttonhole faces toward you.
After sewing, raise the buttonhole foot and pull the workpiece backwards a little. Trim thethreads, leaving
ends abt. 4 cm long. Pull the threads through the buttonhole to the wrong side and twist themtogether.
Turn the stitch width control to 4 and stitchthe thread ends down. Turn the workpiece through90°and
bartack the threads with stitches 1.5 mm wide. Cut the threads off close to the bartack.
