If more than one OSSD pair is configured, the settings must be selected for each OSSD
pair.
9. Click on the arrow . The next window Configure detection capability is opened.
10. Select in the field Coding: against interference the code that is to be assigned to this
safety laser scanner.
The response time of the safety laser scanner is increased in relation to the relevant In-
creased response time per measurement cycle [ 23] and it is shown with the new
value.
11. Under Multiple evaluation, define the number of consecutive scans needed for detec-
tion.
Increasing the number of consecutive scans will increase the response time of the
safety laser scanner.
12. Select the detection capability [mm] for this safety laser scanner. Specify the value
for each configured Safety zone.
Please note:
The operating range of the zones changes with the changing of the resolution.
Operating ranges of the safety zone
Detection capability 30 mm = 2.50 m
Detection capability 40 mm = 3 m
Detection capability 50 mm = 4 m
Detection capability ≥ 70 mm = 5.50 m
Operating ranges of the warning zone
Detection capability 30 mm = 19 m
Detection capability 40 mm = 22 m
Detection capability 50 mm = 23 m
Detection capability ≥ 70 mm = 40 m
13. Select Dust filter level (level1=low, level 3=high).
A higher level of dust filtering requires a longer safety distance.
