QUICK CHECK
QUICK CHECK is a quick alignment measurement for standard horizon-
tal machines. It is, as it says, QUICK, with semiautomatic operation,
and a CHECK, without special options.
These brief instructions are intended for a user with some experience
of alignment, e.g. with the OPTALIGN system. If you have any
difficulties, please refer to the general instructions, which start on
page 4-6.
Q
UICK CHECK is for a typical horizontal two-machine arrangement,
where:
· The left machine is stationary
· The right machine is moveable
· The right machine has 4 feet
· The coupling is a basic single-plane type
Q
UICK CHECK displays the alignment horizontally and vertically in
terms of:
· Coupling angle in mrads (milliradians)
· Coupling offset in mm or mils
· Front and back feet positions on right-hand machine
If you have any other requirements, e.g. to save results, set up
tolerances etc., you can switch from the Q
UICK CHECK results screen to
the comprehensive horizontal machine mode at the touch of a button
(see page 4-8).

UICK CHECK procedure is described on the following two pages.
If, after switching on the ROTALIGN computer, the screen appears
blank, fear not. Check that the power supply is properly connected
or, as the case may be, that the batteries charged. If this does not
rectify the problem, press and hold down either "1" or "0" key on
the ROTALIGN keyboard. These keys can be used to set screen
contrast from the initial startup screen.
