The following sections describe the Utility menu options.
2.3.1.1. Start QNOS5 Application
Use option 1 to resume loading the operational code. After you enter 1, the switch exits the Startup Utility
menu and the switch continues the boot process.
2.3.1.2. Update Image
Use option 2 to download a new software image to the switch to replace a corrupted image or to update, or
upgrade the system software.
The switch is
preloaded
with QNOS
software,
so these
procedures
are needed only for
upgrading
or
downgrading to a different image.
You can use any of the following methods to download the image:
• TFTP
• XMODEM
• YMODEM
• ZMODEM
