Generator- Gasoline Fuel System Bleeding
The gasoline generator fuel system may in the course of
normal operations require bleeding. This could be caused
by:
1. Running out of gasoline at the generator.
2. Clogged fuel filter
3. Poor grade gasoline
4. Vapor lock
To bleed air from the gasoline generator fuel systemuse
the following procedure with the sound shield removed.
1. Press and hold the Select button on the Advanced
Digital Control (ADC).
2. While holding the Select button, move the generator
master switch to the RUN position.
3. Keep holding the Select button until step 6. The ADC
software version and then FUEL will appear on the
ADC’s LED display.
4. Remove the cap from the location shown in illustra-
tion.
5. Hold the bleed tool (part number GM46327) on to
the bleed point to remove air from the line.
6. When fuel begins to drip from the hose (on the bleed
tool) release the SELECT button and replace the cap.
