Chapter 8
Remember that there is a forward and aft bilge pump on
the vessel. Periodically check the grates for debris and
spray the units down with water. Make sure that a steady
stream of water exits the through hull fitting indicating
the hose from the bilge pump itself is clear.
Periodically check all hoses, clamps and electrical con-
nections for tightness.

BLOWERS
The vessel features 2 ventilation blowers in the bilge,
one for each engine. The generator if equipped is tied
into the engine blowers. Check the blower hoses to ensure
they are fastened in the bilge properly, there are no holes
in them and they are not crushed shut. Hoses can crush
if it is stepped on or a heavy object rests on the hose.
The hose connected to the blower needs to be 3/4 the
way down in the bilge to evacuate fumes properly. All
vents need to be checked for debris.
Make sure the blower motor is securely fastened and all
hose clamps, tie wraps and electrical connections are
tight.
