Volvo-Replacing Engine Thermostat
To replace the engine thermostat do the following:
1. Remove the long and short bolts.
2. Remove the thermostat housing.
3. Remove thermostat and discard.
4. Remove both the large and small O rings. Check for
defects.
5. Place new thermostat and O rings in the cross over
pipe housing.
6. Reinstall the upper thermostat housing.
7. Reinstall all bolts & washers. Torque to 18-30 foot
pounds.
