Chapter 7
SUB WOOFER AMPLIFIER CONNECTIONS
AMPLIFIER/WOOFER
As part of the CD changer option package a 200 watt
amplifier is included. It is located in the salon cabinet
near the CD changer unit.
In theory there is a P control blue wire that runs from the
CD receiver through the amplifier to the speakers to boost
the output.
As the CD receiver volume is extended the amplifier out-
put automatically rises to increase the speaker amplifica-
tion.
To protect the amplifier unit, there are two 5 amp fuses
embodied in the amplifier. To protect the stereo wiring
there is a 30 amp fuse at the forward engine bulkhead.
At the amplifier there is a power indicator that lights when
the power is in the “ON” position. If the power indica-
tor does not light there could be a short-circuited speaker
wire, speaker wire grounded, loss of continuity in the
ground circuit wiring or an overheated amplifier.

The 10” subwoofer in the salon features a dual voice coil
to handle maximum power output. To adjust the woofer
sound as part of the overall speaker adjustment use the
AUDIO CONTROL and AUDIO SETUP modes as de-
scribed in the stereo CD receiver earlier in this chapter.
The subwoofer has no individual adjustment.
