Volvo 8.1 uses approximately 9 quarts with a oil filter.
* SAE 30 Volvo Penta DuraPlus synthetic motor oil for
API Service CF/SH or better. If the recommended oil
is not available, use
pure synthetic
multi-viscosity oil.
Note: All fluid recommendations are based on this manuals
printing date. Regal is not responsible for the accuracy of the
information since it can change at any time. For more detailed
information and procedures check your engine operators manual
or call a Regal dealer servicing the product line.

Remove the dipstick.
from the dipstick tube.
The oil level must lie
between the A and B
marks on the dipstick.
Add the recommended
oil to maintain the
proper level. Do not
overfill the engine
crankcase as foaming
may develop.
Be sure to check the oil
level with the engine
off. Never force the
dipstick in the tube. For
an accurate reading
always wipe off the
dipstick with a clean
soft cloth before
reinserting it.
After removing the oil
fill cap refill the
crankcase using the
manufacturer’s
recommended oil. Use a
funnel to avoid spills
and dispose of all the
used containers and
contaminated oil in an
environmentally
friendly manner.

PREVENT ENGINE DAMAGE!
DO NOT ALLOW THE CRANKCASE OIL
LEVEL TO RECEDE BELOW THE ADD MARK,
AND DO NOT FILL ABOVE THE FULL MARK.
OVERFILLING RESULTS
IN REDUCED ENGINE LIFE,
HIGH OPERATING TEMPERATURES,
FOAMING & LOSS OF POWER.
