Engine & Controls
Once you have mastered the basics of the remote con-
trol shifting process follow this information for maneu-
vering in close quarters using the remote control handles
with minimum throttle only.
1. Engage the port control handle into forward gear with
minimum throttle.
2. Next, engage the starboard control handle into reverse
gear position with minimum throttle. See illustration E.
3. This allows headway to starboard with minimum
throttle. The vessel will run a circular course to starboard.
The position above allows headway to port with mini-
mum throttle.
1. Engage the port control handle into reverse gear with
minimum throttle.
2. Next, engage the starboard control handle into forward
gear with minimum throttle. See illustration F.
3. This allows headway to port with minimum throttle.
The vessel will run in a circular course to port.
