ENGINE AND CYLINDER BLOCK ASSEMBLY
Engine/gearbox assembly: Removal - Refitting
K9K, and 830 or 832

a Lower the engine using the (Mot. 1453) fitted with
the (Mot. 1453-01) until the "rubber pad - cover" as-
sembly of the right-hand suspended engine moun-
ting touches the body.
a Refit the bolts of the "rubber pad - cover" assembly
of the right-hand suspended engine mounting on the
body.
a Tighten to torque:
-the bolts of the "rubber pad - cover" assembly
of the right-hand suspended engine mounting
on the cylinder head (62 N.m),
-the bolts of the "rubber pad - cover" assembly
of the right-hand suspended engine mounting
on the body (62 N.m).
a Refit the upper engine tie-bar.
a Tighten to torque:
-the upper engine tie-bar bolt on the engine (115
N.m),
-the upper engine tie-bar bolt on the body (105
N.m).
a Remove:
-the safety strap(s) from the "engine - gearbox" as-
sembly,
-the (Mot. 1390) from under the "engine - gearbox"
assembly.
III - FINAL OPERATION
a Refit the radiator mounting cross member (see Ra-
diator support cross member: Removal - Refit-
ting) (31A, Front axle components).
a Remove the blanking plug
-from the opening of the diesel injector fuel return
rail,
-from the diesel return pipe union.
a Connect the diesel return pipe to the diesel injector
fuel return rail.
a Remove the blanking plug
- from the opening of the diesel return pipe union of
the high pressure pump,
- from the fuel return pipe union.
a Connect the fuel return pipe to the fuel return union
of the high pressure pump.
a Clip the diesel return pipe on the "rubber pad - co-
ver" assembly of the right-hand suspended engine
mounting.
a Remove the blanking plug
- from the opening of the high pressure pump,
- from the fuel supply pipe union.
a Connect the fuel supply pipe to the high pressure
pump.
a Clip the fuel supply pipe on the "rubber pad - cover"
assembly of the right-hand suspended engine
mounting.
a Refit the high pressure pump protector.
a Clip the fuel return union of the high pressure pump
on the high pressure pump protector.
a Connect the heater matrix cooling hoses on the hea-
ter matrix.
a Fit the clip of each heater matrix cooling hose on the
heater matrix.
a Clip the expansion bottle bottom cooling hose on the
high pressure pump protector.
a Connect the expansion bottle bottom cooling hose
on the expansion bottle.
a Fit the clip of the expansion bottle bottom cooling
hose on the expansion bottle.
a Remove the blanking plug
- from the compressor opening,
