ENGINE AND CYLINDER BLOCK ASSEMBLY
Engine/gearbox assembly: Removal - Refitting
K9K, and 830 or 832
10A
a Refit the bonnet catch (see Bonnet latch: Removal
- Refitting) (52A, Non-side opening element mecha-
nisms).
a Connect:
-the cooling radiator top cooling hose on the cooling
radiator,
-the expansion bottle top cooling hose on the coo-
ling radiator.
a Fit the clip:
-of the cooling radiator top cooling hose on the coo-
ling radiator using the tool (Mot. 1448),
-of the expansion bottle top cooling hose using the
tool (Mot. 1202-02).
a Connect the cooling radiator bottom cooling hose to
the cooling radiator.
a Fit the clip of the cooling radiator bottom cooling
hose on the cooling radiator using the tool (Mot.
1448).
a Remove the blanking plugs.
a Lubricate the new seals with the recommended air
conditioning oil to make fitting easier (see Air condi-
tioning: Parts and consumables for the repair
work) (62A, Air conditioning).
a Fit:
-a new seal on the « condenser - expansion valve »
connecting pipe,
-a new seal on the « compressor - condenser » con-
necting pipe.
a Connect:
-the « condenser - expansion valve » connecting
pipe on the condenser,
-the « compressor - condenser » connecting pipe
on the condenser.
a Refit:
-the « condenser - expansion valve » connecting
pipe bracket bolt,
-the « compressor - condenser » connecting pipe
bracket bolt.
a Torque tighten the connecting pipe bolts on the
condenser (8 N.m).
a Refit the bolt of the "compressor - condenser" con-
necting pipe bracket on the body.
a Clip the refrigerant circuit pressure sensor wiring:
-on the front end panel,
-on the "condenser - evaporator" connecting pipe.
a Connect the connector of the refrigerant circuit pres-
sure sensor.
a Refit:
- the frontal impact cross member (see Front im-
pact cross member: Removal - Refitting) (41A,
Front lower structure),
- the audible warning (see Horn: Removal - Refit-
ting) (82B, Horn),
- the side air deflectors of the cooling radiator,
- the top air deflector of the cooling radiator,
- the front bumper mountings (see Front bumper
support: Removal - Refitting) (42A, Front upper
structure),
-the headlights (see Front headlight: Removal -
Refitting) (80B, Headlights),
- the intercooler air outlet pipe (see 12B, Turbo-
charging, Intercooler air outlet pipe: Removal -
Refitting, page 12B-56) ,
-the turbocharger air outlet pipe (see 12B, Turbo-
charging, Intercooler air inlet pipe: Removal -
Refitting, page 12B-41) ,
- the air filter unit (see 12A, Fuel mixture, Air filter
unit: Removal - Refitting, page 12A-4) ,
- the battery tray (see Battery tray: Removal - Re-
fitting) (80A, Battery),
- the air outlet pipe from the air filter unit.
a Connect the air filter unit air outlet pipe to the turbo-
charger.
a Torque tighten the air filter unit air outlet pipe clip
on the turbocharger (5.5 N.m).
a Refit the oil vapour rebreathing pipe.
a Connect the oil vapour rebreathing pipe onto the
rocker cover.
a Connect the oil vapour rebreathing pipe to the air fil-
ter box air outlet pipe.
a Fit the exhaust bracket on the catalytic converter.
a Refit the exhaust bracket bolts on the catalytic con-
verter.
