Engine/gearbox assembly: Removal - Refitting

II - OPERATION FOR REMOVAL OF PART
CONCERNED
a Mark the positions of the suspended engine moun-
tings on the body.
a Position the tool (Mot. 1390) under the « engine -
gearbox » assembly.
a Remove the right-hand suspended engine mounting
(see 19D, Engine mounting, Right-hand suspen-
ded engine mounting: Removal - Refitting, page
19D-18) .
a Remove the bolt (38) from the left-hand suspended
engine mounting support on the gearbox.
a Detach the left-hand suspended engine mounting
support on the gearbox from the left-hand suspen-
ded engine mounting rubber pad.
a Mark the position of the left-hand suspended engine
mounting support on the body using a indelible
pencil.
a Lift the vehicle to remove the « engine-gearbox »
assembly.
REFITTING
I - REFITTING PREPARATION OPERATION
a For standard engine replacements (see Engine:
Standard replacement) (Technical Note 6027A,
10A, Engine and peripherals).
a parts always to be replaced: refrigerant pipe seal
(30,02,02,52).
II - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
a Position the « engine-gearbox » assembly in the ve-
hicle.
a Position the support on the left-hand suspended en-
gine mounting according to the marks made during
removal.
a Refit the bolt of the left-hand suspended engine
mounting support on the gearbox.
a Torque tighten the bolt of the left-hand suspended
engine mounting support on the gearbox (105
N.m).
a Refit:
- the right-hand suspended engine mounting (see
19D, Engine mounting, Right-hand suspended
engine mounting: Removal - Refitting, page
19D-18) ,
- the radiator mounting cross member (see Radiator
support cross member: Removal - Refitting)
(31A, Front axle components).
III - FINAL OPERATION
a Connect:
- the fuel supply pipe to the injector rail,

Note:
Check that no component obstructs the move-
ment of the body around the « engine -
gearbox » assembly.
