Timing belt: Removal - Refitting

a Remove:
-the bolts (5) of the timing tensioning roller,
-the timing tensioning roller.
REFITTING
I - REFITTING PREPARATION OPERATION
a parts always to be replaced: Timing belt (10,02,
04,02),
parts always to be replaced: Timing belt tensio-
ning roller (10,02,04,04).
II - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
a Refit:
-the new timing belt tensioning roller,
-a new timing belt.
a Torque tighten the timing tensioning roller bolts
(10 N.m).
a Using a Torx wrench, bring the adjustable index (6)
opposite the mark (7) by turning the eccentric (8)
anti-clockwise.
a Torque tighten the timing tensioning roller nut (25
N.m)
a Remove the tool (Mot. 1054).
a Rotate the crankshaft clockwise through four revolu-
tions.
a Check that the adjustable index (6) is opposite the
mark (7) , if this is not the case:
- loosen the timing tensioning roller nut by up to one
turn while holding the eccentric with a Torx wrench,
- gradually move the adjustable index (6) opposite
the mark (7) by turning the eccentric (8) clockwise.
