Timing belt: Removal - Refitting

a Refit a new timing belt on the pulley of each cams-
haft (without moving each of the camshaft pulleys).
a Fit the (Mot. 1490-01) (42) on the camshaft pulleys
(use the bolt and nut of the upper timing cover to fit
the (Mot. 1490-01)).
a Fit a new fixed roller (43) .
a Torque tighten the fixed roller bolt (50 N.m).
2 - Belt tension
a Using a 6 mm Allen key, bring the adjustable index
(44) opposite the mark (45) , by turning the eccentric
cam (46) clockwise.
a Torque tighten the tensioning roller nut (initial tor-
que) (7 N.m).
a Remove the camshaft pulley locking tool (Mot.
1490-01).

Ta ke care to tighten the timing belt between the
two camshaft pulleys correctly.
