REFITTING
I - REFITTING PREPARATION OPERATION
a Use SURFACE CLEANER (see Vehicle: Parts
and ingredients for the repairwork) (04B, Consu-
mables - Products) to clean and degrease:
-the bearing face of the damper valve in case of reu-
se,
-the bearing face of the air inlet pipe of the inlet ma-
nifold.
a parts always to be replaced: Damper valve seal
(11,01,10,04).
II - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
a Refit:
-a new seal to the damper valve,
-the damper valve.
a Torque tighten the damper valve bolts (10 N.m).
a Connect the damper valve connector.
III - FINAL OPERATION
a Refit:
-a new intercooler air outlet pipe (see 12B, Turbo-
charging, Intercooler air outlet pipe: Removal -
Refitting, page 12B-56)
-the front end panel,
-the bonnet catch (see Bonnet latch: Removal -
Refitting) (52A, Non-side opening element mecha-
nisms),
-the bolts of the engine wiring channel.
-the front bumper supports (see Front bumper
support: Removal - Refitting) (42A, Front upper
structure),
-the front impact cross member (see Front impact
cross member: Removal - Refitting) (41A, Front
lower structure),
-the headlights (see Front headlight: Removal -
Refitting) (80B, Headlights),
-the front bumper (see Front bumper: Removal -
Refitting) (55A, Exterior protection),
-the front section of the front wheel arch liners (see
Front wheel arch liner: Removal - Refitting)
(55A, Exterior protection),
-the front wheels (see Wheel: Removal - Refitting)
(35A, Wheels and tyres),
- the engine undertray,
- the engine cover.
a Apply the after repair procedure using the diagnos-
tic tool :
- connect the diagnostic tool,
- select « Injection computer » ,
- go to repair mode,
-display the « before/after repair procedure » for the
computer selected,
- select « Damper valve » in the « List of compo-
nents stored by this computer » section,
- carry out the operations described in the « After re-
pair procedure » section.
