II - OPERATION FOR REMOVAL OF PART
CONCERNED
a Remove:
-the nuts (2) from the exhaust manifold,
-the exhaust manifold.
a Mark the position of the exhaust manifold gasket.
a Remove the exhaust manifold gasket.
REFITTING
I - REFITTING PREPARATION OPERATION
a parts always to be replaced: Exhaust manifold
seal (10,07,02,07).
a Use ABRASIVE PADS to clean the joint face:
-the cylinder head,
-of the exhaust manifold, if it is to be reused.
a Use SURFACE CLEANER (see Vehicle: Parts
and ingredients for the repairwork) (04B, Consu-
mables - Products) and CLEAN CLOTHS to clean
and degrease the joint faces:
-the cylinder head,
-of the exhaust manifold, if it is to be reused.
II - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
a Refit:
-a new exhaust manifold gasket in the position mar-
ked during removal,
- the exhaust manifold.
a Torque tighten in order the exhaust manifold nuts
(26 N.m).
III - FINAL OPERATION
a Refit:
- the exhaust gas recirculation rigid pipe (see 14A,
Antipollution, Exhaust gas recirculation rigid
pipe: Removal - Refitting, page 14A-30) ,
- the lifting eye on the timing end,
- the turbocharger (see 12B, Turbocharging, Tur-
bocharger: Removal - Refitting, page 12B-8) .
- the turbocharger oil return pipe (see 12B, Turbo-
charging, Turbocharger oil pipe: Removal - Re-
fitting, page 12B-22) ,
- the turbocharger oil supply pipe (see 12B, Turbo-
charging, Turbocharger oil pipe: Removal - Re-
fitting, page 12B-22) ,
-the turbocharger air outlet pipe (see 12B, Turbo-
charging, Intercooler air inlet pipe: Removal -
Refitting, page 12B-41) ,
- the catalytic converter (see 19B, Exhaust, Cataly-
tic converter: Removal - Refitting, page 19B-17)
