Turbocharger oil pipe: Removal - Refitting

II - OPERATION FOR REMOVAL OF PART
CONCERNED
a Remove the bolt (4) securing the turbocharger oil
supply pipe to the cylinder block.
a Undo the turbocharger oil supply pipe union (5) on
the turbocharger.
a Remove:
-the turbocharger oil supply pipe hollow bolt (6) on
the cylinder block,
-the turbocharger oil supply pipe,
-the turbocharger oil supply pipe seals.
REFITTING THE TURBOCHARGER OIL
SUPPLY PIPE
I - REFITTING PREPARATION OPERATION
a parts always to be replaced: turbocharger oil
pipe seal (10,09,03,05).
a parts always to be replaced: turbocharger rigid
cooling pipe seal (10,09,01,09).
a Remove the turbocharger cooling pipe seals.
a Use SURFACE CLEANER (see Vehicle: Parts
and ingredients for the repairwork) (04B, Consu-
mables - Products) to clean and degrease:
- the cylinder block joint face around the turbochar-
ger oil supply pipe hollow bolt,
- the turbocharger joint face around the turbocharger
cooling pipe hollow bolts.
a Refit new seals on the turbocharger cooling pipe.
II - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
a Refit the turbocharger oil supply pipe.
a Fit without tightening:
- the turbocharger oil supply pipe union on the turbo-
charger,
- the turbocharger oil supply pipe hollow bolt onto
the cylinder block,
- the bolt securing the turbocharger oil supply pipe to
the cylinder block.
a Tighten to torque:
- the turbocharger oil supply pipe hollow bolt on
the cylinder block (45 Nm),
- the turbocharger oil supply pipe union on the
turbocharger (25 N.m),
- the oil supply pipe bolt on the cylinder block (25
N.m).
III - FINAL OPERATION
a Refit:
- the heat shield to the starter,
- the turbocharger cooling pipe,
- the turbocharger cooling pipe hollow bolts on the
turbocharger.
a Pre-tighten to torque the turbocharger cooling
pipe hollow bolts (initial torque) (12 N.m).
