TURBOCHARGING
Turbocharger oil pipe: Removal - Refitting

-the catalytic converter (see 19B, Exhaust, Cataly-
tic converter: Removal - Refitting, page 19B-17)

a Remove:
-the nuts (7) from the starter heat shield,
-the starter heat shield.
II - OPERATION FOR REMOVAL OF PART
CONCERNED
a Remove:
- the turbocharger oil return pipe bolts (8) on the tur-
bocharger,
- the bolt (9) from the turbocharger oil return pipe on
the cylinder block,
- the turbocharger oil return pipe,
- the turbocharger oil return pipe gaskets.
REFITTING THE TURBOCHARGER OIL
RETURN PIPE
I - REFITTING PREPARATION OPERATION
a parts always to be replaced: turbocharger oil
pipe seal (10,09,03,05).
a parts always to be replaced: Turbocharger oil re-
turn pipe (10,09,03,02).
a Use SURFACE CLEANER (see Vehicle: Parts
and ingredients for the repairwork) (04B, Consu-
mables - Products) to clean and degrease:
- the turbocharger oil return pipe joint face if it is to
be reused,
- the intermediate oil return pipe joint face.
a Refit the new seals onto the turbocharger oil return
pipe.
a Lubricate the O-rings of the turbocharger oil return
pipe.
