DIESEL INJECTION
High-pressure pipe between the rail and injector: Removal - Refitting
K9K, and 830
13B
REMOVAL
I - REMOVAL PREPARATION OPERATION
a Disconnect the battery (see Battery: Removal - Re-
fitting) (80A, Battery).
a Remove:
-the engine cover,
-the turbocharger air outlet pipe (see 12B, Turbo-
charging, Intercooler air inlet pipe: Removal -
Refitting, page 12B-41) .
a Remove:
- the dipstick,
- the dipstick guide bolts (1) .
a Move aside the dipstick guide.
a Unclip the injector rail protector cover at (2) .
a Remove:
- the injector rail protector cover bolt (3) ,
- the injection rail protector cover,
Essential special tooling
Mot. 1566 Spanner for removing high
pressure pipes.
Mot. 1746 Offset spanner for tightening
high pressure pump pipes.
Tightening torquesm
nuts for the high pres-
sure pipe(s) between
the injector rail and the
diesel injector(s)
28 N.m
injector rail nuts 28 N.m
nuts for the high pres-
sure pipes between the
injector rail and the die-
sel injectors
28 N.m
IMPORTANT
To avoid all risk of damage to the systems, apply
the safety and cleanliness instructions and opera-
tion recommendations before carrying out any
repair (see 13B, Diesel injection, Diesel injec-
tion: Precautions for repair, page 13B-1) .
IMPORTANT
Wear leaktight gloves (Nitrile type) for this opera-
tion.
