DIESEL INJECTION
High-pressure pipe between the rail and injector: Removal - Refitting
K9K, and 830
13B
a Clean the high pressure pipe unions between the rail
and the diesel fuel injectors (see 13B, Diesel injec-
tion, Diesel injection: Precautions for repair,
page 13B-1) .
II - OPERATION FOR REMOVAL OF PART
CONCERNED
1 - Removing one, two or three high pressure pipes
a
a Loosen the nuts for the high pressure pipe(s)
between the injector rail and the diesel fuel injec-
tor(s), using the tool (Mot. 1566).
a Remove:
-the nuts for the high pressure pipe(s) between the
injector rail and the diesel fuel injector(s) on the in-
jector rail side,
-the nuts for the high pressure pipe(s) between the
injector rail and the diesel fuel injector(s) on the in-
jector side,
-the high pressure pipes between the injector rail
and the diesel injectors concerned.
a Fit suitable blanking plugs on:
- the opening(s) on the injector rail,
- the opening of the diesel fuel injector(s).
2 - Removing the four high pressure pipes
a Disconnect:
- the connector (4) from the injector rail pressure
sensor,
- the fuel temperature sensor connector (5) ,
- the connector (6) for the fuel flow regulation sole-
noid valve,
- all heater plug connectors,
- the connector for each diesel injector.
a Unclip the injection wiring clips (7) .
a Remove the nut (8) from the injection wiring bracket.
a Separate the injection wiring.
