Injector rail: Removal - Refitting

II - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
a Refit:
-a new injector rail seal,
-the injector rail lower protector,
-the injector rail.
a Fit without tightening the injector rail bolts.
a Refit a high pressure pipe between the pump and
the new injector rail.
a Without tightening it, screw in the high pressure pipe
between the pump and the rail.
a Refit the high pressure pipes between the new injec-
tor rail and the injector.
a Fit the high pressure pipes between the rail and the
injector, without tightening.
a Tighten to torque:
-the injector rail bolts (30 Nm),
-the nuts on the high pressure pipes between
the rail and the injector at the injector end (27
N.m),
-the nut on the high pressure pipe between the
pump and the rail at the high pressure pump
end (27 N.m) using the tool (Mot. 1566),
-the nut on the high pressure pipe between the
pump and the rail at the injector rail end (37
N.m) using the tool (Mot. 1566),
-the nuts on the high pressure pipes between
the rail and the injector at the injector rail end
(37 N.m).
III - FINAL OPERATION
a Refit the bolts for the diesel fuel temperature sensor
support.
a Clip the heater plug wiring onto the lower protector
of the injector rail.
a Connect the heater plug connectors.
a Refit:
-the oil separator (see 11A, Top and front of engi-
ne, Oil decanter: Removal - Refitting, page 11A-
205) ,
-the engine undertray,
-the injector rail protector (see 13B, Diesel injec-
tion, Injector rail protector: Removal - Refitting,
page 13B-70) ,
-the engine cover.
a Connect the battery (see Battery : Removal - Refit-
ting) (80A, Battery).
