STARTING - CHARGING
Alternator: Removal - Refitting

a Undo the alternator bolts (9) .
a Remove the alternator bolts (9) as far as possible.
a Move the alternator away from the multifunction sup-
port using a screwdriver.
a Remove the alternator with its bolts.
REFITTING
I - REFITTING PREPARATION OPERATION
a Compress the alternator rings (11) using pliers and a
vice to facilitate fitting.
II - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
a Refit the alternator equipped with its bolts.
a Torque tighten the alternator bolts (25 N.m).
a Position the alternator wiring.
a Refit the alternator positive terminal nut.
a Torque tighten the alternator positive terminal nut
(8 N.m).
a Connect the alternator excitation connector.
III - FINAL OPERATION
a Clip:
- the alternator wiring on the injector rail protector,
- the expansion bottle bottom cooling hose on the
high pressure pump protector.
a Fit the front end panel.
a Refit:
- the lower bolts from the front end panel,
- the front end panel upper bolts,
- the front end panel clips.
