Starter: Removal - Refitting

REMOVAL
I - REMOVAL PREPARATION OPERATION
a Position the vehicle on a two-post lift (see Vehicle:
Towing and lifting) (02A, Lifting equipment).
a Remove:
-the engine cover,
-the engine undertray bolts,
-the engine undertray.
a Disconnect the battery (see Battery : Removal -
Refitting) (80A, Battery).
a Remove the intercooler air outlet pipe (see 12B,
Turbocharging, Intercooler air outlet pipe: Re-
moval - Refitting, page 12B-56) .
a Disconnect:
-the connector (1) from the oil pressure sensor,
-the connector (2) from the oil level sensor.
a Loosen the nut on the starter solenoid (3) .
a Remove the nut of the starter supply terminal (4) .
a Move the starter wiring aside.
II - OPERATION FOR REMOVAL OF PART
CONCERNED
a Remove:
- the starter bolts (5) ,
- the starter.
Tightening torquesm
