Oil pressure sensor: Removal - Refitting

REMOVAL
I - REMOVAL PREPARATION OPERATION
a Position the vehicle on a two-post lift (see Vehicle:
Towing and lifting) (02A, Lifting equipment).
a Remove:
-the engine cover,
-the engine undertray bolts,
-the engine undertray,
-the oil filter (see 10A, Engine and cylinder block
assembly, Oil filter: Removal - Refitting, page
10A-48) .
II - OPERATION FOR REMOVAL OF PART
CONCERNED
a Disconnect the oil pressure sensor connector (1) .
a Remove the oil pressure sensor (2) using the (Mot.
1495-01).
REFITTING
I - REFITTING PREPARATION OPERATION
a Coat the threading of the oil pressure sensor with SI-
LICONE ADHESIVE SEALANT (see Vehicle:
Parts and ingredients for the repairwork) (04B,
Consumables - Products).
II - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
a Refit the oil pressure sensor using the (Mot. 1495-
01).
a Torque tighten the oil pressure sensor (39 N.m)
using the tool (Mot. 1495-01).
a Connect the oil pressure sensor connector.
III - FINAL OPERATION
a Refit:
- the oil filter (see 10A, Engine and cylinder block
assembly, Oil filter: Removal - Refitting, page
10A-48) ,
- the engine undertray,
- the engine cover.
Essential special tooling
Mot. 1495-01 22 mm socket for removing/
refitting oxygen sensors.
Tightening torquesm
oil pressure sensor 39 N.m
