Causes
1) RS-232C settings are incorrect.
2) The RS-232C cable is not connected correctly.
Countermeasures
1) Adjust the interface settings correctly.
2) Connect the RS-232C cable correctly.

Buff er Overfl ow Light in red
Short

Message Receiving buff er full. Check host program.
To clear the display Press the left select button (OFFLINE) or LINE button.
Causes
1) The size of the received data from the host exceeds the size of the receive
buff er.
2) The interface settings between the host and printer is incorrect.
Countermeasures
1) Change the settings on the host so that data that exceeds the size of the
receive buff er cannot be sent.
2) Set the interface settings between the host and printer.

Head Open Light in red

Message Head is open. Close print head.
To clear the display Lock the print head.
Causes
1) Thermal head assembly isn’t closed.
2) Sensor is dirty for detecting head open/close.
3) Failure of sensor for detecting head open/close.
Countermeasures
1) Close the thermal head assembly.
2) Sensor is cleaned.
3) Exchange of sensor substrates.
