C. Assembly
(1) Install klipring (16, Fig. 4-79), washer (15),
flange bearing (14), barrel bushing (11), and
crank handle (13) onto the traction screw (17).
NOTE
Traction slide (10) has a hole for traction screw (17)
that is threaded on one end. When installing traction
screw (17) insure that it is inserted first through the
non-threaded
end of traction slide (10).
(2) Lubricate traction screw (17) with a good quality
grease and install traction slide (10) onto
traction screw.
NOTE
When inserting traction screw assembly (12) into
barrel (7) align end of traction screw (17) with hole in
bulkhead (18). Also, align threaded holes in barrel
bushing (11) with holes in end of barrel (7).
(3) Lubricate traction slide (10) with a light coating
of grease and insert traction screw assembly
(12) into barrel (7).
(4) Align three, threaded holes in barrel bushing (11)
with three, drill set indentations in end of
barrel (8).
(5) Place a drop of non-permanent thread-lock on
three mounting screws and install to secure
barrel bushing (11).
NOTE
Position clamp weldment (6) so that the threaded hole
for drop handle assembly (5) is pointed
away
from
crank handle assembly (13).
(5) Align threaded holes in the traction slide
(9) with holes in clamp weldment (7) and install
traction rollers (9) and screws (8).
Tighten
screws evenly
.
NOTE
Drop handle (5) must go through
clearance (un-
threaded)
hole of clamp weldment (6) first and then
into threaded hole.
(6) Install drop handle (5) onto clamp weldment (6).
NOTE
Install allen screw (2) for rotary mechanism (3)
so that head of screw (2) is even with surface of
barrel (7).
(7) Install the lock handle (1) and the screw (2) onto
the traction barrel (7).
D. Installation
(1) Install traction assembly (4, Figure
4-79) onto table and install the rotary mecha-
nism or accessories.
(2) Check operation and clean the unit.
