The risks to be considered are also given in the applicable directives and standards and are to
be considered specifically by the manufacturer based on the manufacturer's specific
knowledge of the machine.
For machines placed on the market in the EU, the risks to be considered as a minimum are
specified in the EU Machinery directive 2006/42/EC or in the latest version of this directive.

EN 14121 Safety of machinery - Risk assessment
EN 12100 Safety of machinery - General principles for design.
Measures that are applied to reduce the hazards identified must correspond as a minimum to
the same level as the hazard. Such measures and the requirements on them are also given in
examples in the directives and standards listed above.
12.2 Technical documentation required
Various technical documents are to be delivered by the manufacturer. The minimum scope of
these documents is also given in the applicable directives and standards.
E.g. as per the EU Machinery directive the following documents as a minimum are to be
delivered:
