Front-Panel Interface
Front-Panel Operation
contact for one second and the front panel will exit the command you are
trying to access. See PAS (Password) on page 7.12 in Section 7: ASCII
Command Reference for more information on passwords.
Pushbuttons
Eight multifunction pushbuttons control the front-panel display. The
pushbutton legend defines the primary function in the top row and the
secondary function in the bottom row. The primary functions are for command
selection, and the secondary functions are for cursor movements and specific
commands within dialogues. The eight pushbutton primary functions are
discussed in the order of appearance from left to right on the front panel.
Primary Functions
Note in Figure 8.2 on page 8.5 that the front-panel pushbutton primary
functions correspond to serial port commands–both retrieve the same
information or perform the same function. For more detail on the information
provided by the front-panel pushbutton primary functions, refer to the
corresponding serial port commands in Section 7: ASCII Command Reference.
For example, for more information on the metering values available via the
front-panel {METER} pushbutton, refer to the MET (Meter) on page 7.11 in
Section 7: ASCII Command Reference.
