7.3.2 Configuring the communication channel via USB
Proceed as follows:
1. Establish the communication channel via USB, see chapter "Establishing
communication and scanning the network"(→245).
2. Set the communication parameters.

Parameter requests from the MOVITOOLS
®
MotionStudio engineering software are
transferred to a switch [3] via Ethernet [2] from an engineering PC [1] using the Ether-
net interface. The switch[3] then directly passes on the parameter requests to the Eth-
ernet interface of the devices[4].
