4.4.1 Engineering
Engineering of the DH.21B/41B controller comprises configuration, parameterization
and programming in the MOVITOOLS
®
MotionStudio engineering software (only via
the freely programmable controller MOVI‑PLC
®
).
The DH.21B/41B controller is connected with the engineering PC via the:
• "X35: USB engineering interface"(→236)
• "X37: Ethernet 2 engineering interface"(→237)
• "X30P: PROFIBUS connection"(→229) for DHF21B/41B
• "X30-1/X30-2: Ethernet3/Ethernet4 connection"(→228) for DHR21B/41B

4.4.2 System buses
CAN1/CAN2 and Ethernet1
You can use the DH.21B/41B controller to control all drives of a machine module by
connecting several inverters via one system bus. This takes load off the higher-level
controller (e.g. PLC). You can connect a total of maximum 16 of the following
devices via CAN1/CAN2 and Ethernet1

Connect one of the following devices each to the COM 1/COM 2 engineering inter-
face:
• Gearmotor with integrated frequency inverter MOVIMOT
®
• DOP11B operator panel, preferably via Ethernet 2, see chapter "Ethernet
2"(→216).
