The example screens for this feature are for Tape
Playback mode.
1 During tape playback (or tape record-
ing), press the MENU/DISPLAY button
until the menu screen appears.
Using the Time Code
The time code shows the hour, minute and
second of recording, and the frame number
(1 frame = approx. 1/25 sec.). This is
automatically recorded along with the subject
when you are recording on the tape. You can
display the time code on the screen as an
accurate counter in both Tape Playback and
Tape Recording modes.

3 Press the SET-PUSH dial to set the
DISPLAY item to “ON”.
The time code appears.
Note: If “TC” does not appear, turn the SET-
PUSH dial to select “MEMORY”, and then
press the dial until “TC” is displayed.
4 Press the MENU/DISPLAY button to
turn off the time code screen.
To turn off the time code
After performing step 2 above, turn the SET-
PUSH dial to select “DISPLAY”, and then press
the dial to select “OFF”.
Notes:
When the tape reaches an unrecorded section,
the time code returns to zero (TC0:00:00). Once
recorded, the time code cannot be changed.
You can also turn on and off the time code by
pressing the T/C ON/OFF button on the infrared
remote control.

1 In Tape Playback mode, perform steps 1
to 3 above.
2 Turn the SET-PUSH dial (Q) to select
“OUTPUT”, and then press the dial (W)
to select “ON”.

“TIME CODE”, and then press the dial
(W) to display the time code screen.
