Composite Playback
The composite playback function makes it
possible to play back images on a tape with
the prepared scene or title design combined,
or with a still image inside a small, inset
window combined.
Composite picture types
TITLE/SCENE: Combines the scene or title
design preinstalled on the supplied
SmartMedia card. (See page 74 for the list of
the prepared scene and title designs.)
P-IN-P: Combines a still image recorded on a
SmartMedia card displaying in an inset
window.
6 Press the B (Next Image Selection) or
C (Previous Image Selection) button to
select the desired picture.
5 Turn the SET-PUSH dial (Q) to select
“TITLE/SCENE” or “P-IN-P”, and then
press the dial (W) to display a thumbnail
of the composite pictures.
7 Press the
(Set) button to set the
picture.
• The playback images are combined with
the selected picture.
To cancel Composite Playback
Press the SET-PUSH dial.
Notes:
• Stopping the tape cancels the combined picture.
• Composite Playback cannot be used when
playing back an unrecorded portion of tape. If a
thumbnail of the composite picture is not
displayed in step 5, press the SET-PUSH dial to
display the menu screen, check that an
unrecorded portion is not being played back,
and then repeat steps 4 and 5.
• Composite Playback can also be operated by
pressing the COMPOSITE buttons and the Shift
ß, ©, ƒ, and ∂ buttons on the infrared remote
control.
• Composite Playback cannot be used in Card
Playback mode.
1 Insert the SmartMedia card in the
camcorder.
• Insert the supplied SmartMedia card for
TITLE/SCENE Composite Playback.
2 Set the camcorder to Tape Playback
mode, and then begin tape playback.
3 Press the MENU/DISPLAY button until
the menu screen appears.
4 Turn the SET-PUSH dial (Q) to select
“COMPOSITE”, and then press the dial
(W) to display the composite picture
selection screen.
