Board DIP Switches and EPROM
There are three printed circuit boards mounted onto the shuffler’s Main
Board (Figure 4-1). These boards contain DIP switches and an EPROM
containing firmware. The DIP switches may be used for additional setup
options. The EPROM can be reinstalled for upgrades or special
configurations.
The functionality of each DIP switch is controlled by the EPROM software
and may vary from version to version.
Please refer to the “Shuffler DIP Switch Settings” reference sheet available
in the Product Information section of Shuffler Engineering department
web page in Radar to determine the recommended DIP switch settings for
a specific EPROM version, or call SHFL entertainment, Inc.
Replacing the EPROM:
To replace the EPROM, turn power ‘OFF’ to
the shuffler. Remove the old EPROM from the socket by pressing the left
and right tabs of the socket at the same time. Insert the new EPROM,
noting the location of pin 1. Push in until the left and right tabs click into
place.
