Note that only one side is adjustable and the holes in the Gripper Arm
Plate are oval-shaped. The opposite-side Block should be pushed up tight
against the overhanging edge of the Gripper Arm.
The Gripper Pads should NOT move freely from side to side when the
leveling gauge is in contact with the bottom of the pads.
5. Open the grippers and remove the leveling gauge.
Gripper Belt Adjustment
Move the Gripper arms all the way out. Adjust Gripper Belt Deflection so
that the teeth of the belt meet in a line through the center of the pulleys.
Do NOT bend the threaded shaft when checking the deflection.
Adjusting the Brake Roller Assembly
When the Brake Roller Assembly in a specific shuffler requires frequent
adjustment, it is possible that the roller gap is not level and even, or the
Brake Roller or Lower Drive Roller may have developed a bulge or a flat
spot and is no longer round. When either of these conditions exists, the
gap between the rollers may fluctuate between “too small” and “too
large”.
After verifying and eliminating the cause of the problem, adjust the Brake
Roller Assembly.
