10.0 Mechanical Setup and Adjustments
The gripper assembly and its related components are critical for proper
operation of the MD2® shuffler. Therefore, the following adjustments
must be made EVERY TIME the assembly mounting screws are loosened,
the gripper arms are realigned or the gripper pads are replaced.
♦ Center the gripper assembly in the shuffler frame
♦ Level the gripper pads
♦ Adjust the brake roller assembly
♦ Run Auto Setup
Gripper Shaft End Play Adjustment
Loosen the screw holding the pulley onto the gripper shaft. Place a .004”
shim between the pulley and the Thrust Bearing.
Note: If a .004” shim or “feeler gauge” is not available, the edge of a
sheet of standard copy paper may be substituted.
Push the pulley in while pulling the gripper arm out and tighten the pulley
screw.
Centering the Gripper Assembly in the Shuffler Frame
1. Turn the screw pulley by hand to fully
open the grippers.
