4.4 Setting standard parameters
4.4.1 Assigning the sensor
The sender/receiver unit and MCU are normally assigned to each other at the factory. If
this is not possible (e.g. when several devices are delivered at the same time or the MCU is
swapped later), the assignment must be made after installation. The following steps are
then necessary:

Connect the measuring system to the SOPAS ET program, select device file "MCU" and
move it to the "Project tree“ window (

p. 55, §4.1.4).

Set the Level 1 password (

p. 55, §4.1.4) and set the measuring system to mainte-
nance mode (activate the "Maintenance on/off" checkbox in the "Maintenance / Main-
tenance / Operation" group and click "Set State").

Switch to the submenu "Configuration / Application selection“.

The basis type of the connected sender/receiver unit is shown in the window "Possible
Variant" (group "Application selection"). Click "Safe selection" to assign the MCU.
