6.10.2 Updating the TEMS Recorder

Patches and service packs for the TEMS Recorder are supplied in the temsUpdate file

format and installed via TEMS Manager.

The configuration that is currently running has to be stopped for this.

Getting started

1. Save the update file in a directory of your choice on the customer network.

2. Start TEMS Manager from a client computer.

The client computer must be able to access the directory containing the update file.

3. Go to the Setup workspace and click Firmware Update.

When logging in, the user must have Service authorization. If you are not yet logged in

at this level, please do so now (for more information, see appendix at 9.5 Users and

authorizations).

Performing an update

1. Click the Browse button and select the update file.

First of all, the file is copied to the Traffic Controller.

2. Once it has been copied across, the update version number and description are

displayed.
