If – as with the TIC501, for example – this information cannot be detected by the LMS
Length, the vehicle’s position, time, and speed are calculated using the 3D point cloud for
the vehicle in question. The object location messages are then emitted after the calcula-
tion process for the 3D point cloud.
Recommended distance of the trigger lines from the zero point of the Z-axis
Maximum distance in both directions
Max. 15 m (recommended max. 10 m)
Max. 20 m (recommended max. 20 m)
Max. 15 m (no recommended)
The recommendation is based on distances for which triggering works with high reliability.
Calculated data from large distances are treated with uncertainty regarding speed
changes and detection accuracy.
