The ET 200PA SMART meets the requirements and protection goals of the following EC
directives, and satisfies the Harmonized European Standards (EN) for Programmable Logic
Controllers which were published in the official journals of the European Community:
● 2004/108/EC "Electromagnetic Compatibility" (EMC Directive)
● 94/9/EC "Equipment and protective systems intended for use in potentially explosive
atmospheres" (Explosion Protection Directive)
