dundant system supports user files.
User files are user-specific files that are stored on
the SIMATIC Memory Card and in the "UserFiles"
directory.
You can write and read user files via the asynchro-
nous "File Handling" instructions (FileReadC, File-
WriteC) or via the Web API of the Web server.

OPC UA as server
As of firmware version V3.1, the S7-1500R/H re-
dundant system supports data exchange as an OPC
UA server.
An OPC UA server provides information within a
network, e.g. relating to the CPU, the OPC UA server
itself, the data, and the data types. An OPC UA cli-
ent accesses this information.

"Random" instruction The "Random" instruction is supported as of FW
version V3.1: You can use this instruction to gener-
ate a 32-bit random number.

The R/H-CPUs support cycle-granular recordings of
up to 64 different tags in a .csv file over a long
period (hours, days, etc.).→ long-term trace.
This function provides you with better diagnostic
capabilities when analyzing the course of signals
over a long period of time.

munication options:
• Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTPS)

ly via Secure Open User Communication (TLS).
