INTRODUCTION
Displayed
messages
tell the
user:
a)
that
an
operation
has
been
completed,
b)
that
an
undesirable
situation
exists,
or
c)
that the
requested
operation
is
not
possible.
Each
message
is
preceded
by a
number,
e.g.
"81.
INPUT
OVERLOAD”.
Where
necessary,
this
number
is included
in the
data
output to
remote
devices
as
an error
code.
Messages
are
accompanied
by a
beep,
unless
this is
switched
off from
[DISPLAY]
ERROR
BEEP.
A
message
is
displayed
only briefly
but
can be
recalled
using the
STATUS
menu
(pP, first
page, LAST
ERROR)
or
the ER?
remote
command.
Messages
are
classified
according
to
the first
digit
of
the message
number.
The
meaning
of each
message
is
explained
in
this
chapter,
under
the class
number
and
area
of
application.
