1-6-2. Upper Frame

The unit is equipped with shielding springs which have sharp edges.
Do not contact them with bare hands. Pay careful attention when servicing.
1. Remove the battery sub panel. (Refer to Section 1-6-1.)
2. Open the display panel.
3. Insert a flatblade screwdriver or similar item into the rectangular hole and unhook as shown in the
figure. And then, open the control panel.
4. Fully loosen the four screws securing the upper frame.
Remove the upper frame by lifting up and put it on the right as shown in the figure.

Each screw is held by a stop washer. Do not separate the washer from the screw when loosening.
5. Disconnect the harness from the connector (CN1) on the CN-1779 board.
6. Reattach the upper frame in the reverse order of removal.

. Take care that the harnesses are not caught between the upper and lower frames.
. Before tightening the screws of the upper frame, slide the hook to the left and release it to check
that it returns to the original position.
7. Also secure the four screws of the connector panel. (Refer to Section 1-6-3.)
