(in Audio setting page)

PROTECTION DIS This item is used exclusively for servo and mechanical adjustment
After adjustment is completed, return to the factory setting "ENA"
Selects whether emergency tape protection operation is enabled or not when VTR
detects error in tape transport mechanism
ENA: Tape protection operation is enabled
DIS: Tape protection operation is disabled

| 0: Returns the original device type data of the unit

Any selection of the above does not influence the whole VTR operation including

If this item is set to values other than the factory-setting (DATA:0000), the
operation of the unit is not ensured under the 9-pin remote command control.
F21 PROCESS CONT VR [OFF] Selects whether PROCESS CONTROL VR and sub LCD menu setting
LOCAL ENABLE ON (in Video setting page) are enabled or not, when LOCAL DISABLE command is
received through the 9-pin remote connector or the setup menu "006: LOCAL
FUNCTION ENABLE" is set to "all disable"
OFF: Settings of PROCESS CONTROL VR and sub LCD menu are disabled
ON: Settings of PROCESS CONTROL VR and sub LCD menu are enabled
