Removal
1. Threading link assembly removal
Remove the threading link assembly.
(Refer to Section 4-5-9.)
2. Cam gear assembly removal
Remove the cam gear assembly.
(Refer to Section 4-13.)

Mark either of the tooth of the cam gear assembly
and the tooth of the midway gear which are
meshed each other, using a tweezers.
3. Intermittent gear replacement
(1) Remove the stop washer to remove the
intermittent gear.
(2) Apply one-quarter of a drop of oil to the shaft
of intermittent gear.
(3) Apply a rice-grain-sized amount of grease to
each of the four points on the upper and
lower part of the new intermittent gear.
(4) Secure the intermittent gear using a new stop
washer.
4. Cam gear assembly installation
Reattach the cam gear assembly.
(Refer to Section 4-13-7.)
Aligning the cam gear assembly to either notch of
the intermittent gear, reattach the cam gear
assembly.
5. Threading link assembly installation
Reattach the cam gear assembly.
(Refer to Section 4-5-11.)
Adjustment after replacement

7. REV back tension check
