Section 10: Digital Video
The P340 flexiprobe controllers incorporate an advanced digital video recorder. This Section provides an
overview of the video files produced by the flexiprobe system and how to play them on PC or MAC
computers. Also included is a detailed Section on converting video files to other popular formats for
playback and distribution.
10.1 Video Specification
The P340flexiprobe system produces high-quality digital video files encoded with H.264 video and AAC
audio CODECs. The resulting files have a .MP4 extension.
10.2 Video Quality settings
The flexiprobe system can record video using several predefined quality settings. The system also allows
you to configure video quality settings to suit your requirements.
See Section 5.8.3 for more details.
10.3 Video playback
You can play recorded video using the controller or any computer that has compatible video playback
software and CODECs installed.
Controller playback
Video playback using the controller is described in Section 7.4.
Computer playback
Videos can be transferred and played on any compatible computer that features the following:
Correctly installed video and audio CODECs and a compatible video player program.
or
A compatible video player program with integrated H.264 and AAC CODECs.
