12.2.39 Event 84: Drop in network voltage when power section active
The drive controller is interrupted if:
§ U30 = 0: Inactive and
§ A29 = 0: Inactive for STOBER device controller
or
§ U30 = 1: Active and
§ A540 = 0: disable drive, motor is free to rotate for CiA 402 device controller
Response:
§ The power unit is disabled and axis movement is no longer controlled by the drive controller
§ The brakes are no longer controlled by the drive controller and engage in the event of an inactive release override
(F06)
The drive controller is interrupted with a quick stop if:
§ A29 = 0: Inactive for STOBER device controller
or
§ A540 = 2: slow down on quick stop ramp for CiA 402 device controller
Response:
§ The axis is stopped by a quick stop; meanwhile, the brakes are controlled by the drive controller and remain released
§ At the end of the quick stop, the power unit is disabled and axis movement is no longer controlled by the drive
controller; the brakes are no longer controlled by the drive controller and engage in the event of an inactive release
override (F06)
The drive controller is interrupted with emergency braking if:
§ U30 = 1: Active and
§ A29 = 1: Active for STOBER device controller
or
§ U30 = 1: Active and
§ A540 = 2: slow down on quick stop ramp for CiA 402 device controller
Response:
§ The axis is stopped by emergency braking; the brakes are no longer controlled by the drive controller and engage in the
event of an inactive release override (F06)
§ At the end of emergency braking, the power unit is disabled and axis movement is no longer controlled by the drive
controller
A quick stop is not possible when the power supply returns.
Cause Check and action
Decrease in supply voltage under
load
Check the supply voltage for load stability and stabilize the network if necessary
Sporadic power failures Check the supply voltage for stability and stabilize the network if necessary
