Oil Seals
Carefully inspect the oil seals removed in disassembly,
examining the lip portion (1) of each oil seal for wear and
damage. Use of new oil seals in reassembly is recom-
mended.
Timing Belt and Timing Pulleys
Inspect the belt and pulleys for wear, cracks and signs of
failure. Replace them as necessary.
CAUTION
!
Do not bend the belt. Keep away oil and
water from the belt. The belt must be kept
clean.
The pulleys and belt tensioner, too, must
be kept clean and free of oil and water.
