Statistical Noise Levels, the certain boundary level
surpassed by the temporary noise level values in
not more than nn% of the observation period. Ln
are calculated on the base of 100ms Leq results
and renewed every second on the display as
cumulated statistics over the current
measurement time.
Day-evening-night equivalent level, Leq. Sound
Level, measured over the 24 hour period, with a
10 dB penalty added to the levels between 23.00
and 07.00 hours and a 5 dB penalty added to the
levels between 19.00 and 23.00 hours to reflect
people's extra sensitivity to noise during the night
and the evening. The instrument displays: Ld, Le,
Ln, Lde, Len, Lnd, or Lden depending on the day
and night time which the measurement covers.
Due to different country requirements, it is
possible to shift day time from 7h-19h to 6h-18h.
Individual Sound Exposure Level to the noise is
equal to the standing sound level in a
measurement period. The PSEL result is
calculated on the base of the LEQ.
Quantity of noise received by the worker,
expressed as the percentage of the whole day
acceptable value.
Quantity of noise received by the worker for
8 hours.
Quantity of noise received by the worker during
exposure time.
Average level of the acoustic pressure for the
given time period of the measurement.
