8.2. BRAKE BELT TENSION
When adjusting tension of a used belt:
1. Note the distance “X
” measurement before slackening the belt
tension, as show in the illustration.
2. Unscrew the nut (a) using an 17 mm spanner.
3. Adjust the tension by turning the screw (b) using
key.
When adjusting tension of a new belt:
1. Adjust the tension of the belt on the longest branch, indicated by
the yellow arrow, as indicated in the note below:
WARNING: The right tension must be 160Hz±10Hz.
2. Tighten the nut (a) once again.
